To make it back.

You have to get lost. You have to be fearless and open hearted. You have to always have fun and live for the moment.

A few weeks ago I visited Panama City to photograph my adorable nieces annual birthday photo shoot and also be with friends who have turned into family and become an enormouse part of my life. The last time I visited Verna, aka BFF, was back in 2020 which ended up being about a couple of weeks before PTY went completely on lock down due to the pandemic. One of the most interesting, yet scariest experiences we had ever faced. I believe staying faithful, grateful, and supportive will always bring you back to where you need to be in life. We must also treasure our bravery and trust our intuition no matter how difficult the situation becomes, because deep down you know you will make it to the end. Even if it was a little bit different than what you expected.

Fast forward to February 2022. I was entering the airpot greeted by Ivan and as we walked up to immigration I opened up my passport, so they could put a fresh stamp. Then I looked at Ivan and asked him, “what’s todays date?” Ivan replied, “February 27th, why?” I couldn’t believe it. February 27th, 2020 was my last stamp in my book and as I approached the window there I was once again. What are the odds? Two exact years later, traveling back to a point in time which I don’t think any of us was ready for. Is this a re-do? You can imagine my countless thoughts. I tried my best to completely accept the fact that just happened. A gift, a sign, a coincidence. I believe you are truly fighting and listening to that feeling that’s been knocking at your door since birth. Fear is the ultimate power you must always face. Approach with understanding this, no matter where you stand in life your family and friends are going to be your biggest support! So never stop fighting for that feeling and those people that you love the most.
