Opportunity being opened | Brownsville, Texas
What does receiving mean to you?
For me it means a door of opportunity being opened. Knowing what is behind the door will always be unknown until you simply say yes to it. It feels really great to give back to others, but have you ever wondered how challenging some people’s emotions become when you try to offer them something in return. Either a hug, a gift, a sense of humor, or even a trade. Some may feel embarrassed, ashamed, or even taken a back. While others could easily take advantage and may ask for more. I challenge you to open your mind to receiving something this week. Whether it be from a friend, a stranger, or even your own doctor.
When I was homeless from the ages 17-19 I remember all I could think of was where will I feel the most comfortable sleeping tonight. My mom had moved to Mexico City and we had a very huge fight where we stopped speaking for a while. It led me to wandering this planet all alone for the very first time. Receiving help was not only something I had to conquer my own fears with, but it was actually something I was forced into learning without in order to survive. Surviving with the intentions of receiving. It’s probably the main reasons as to why I work so diligently hard for my dreams, because receiving as such a primatial age had become the norm for me.
The Law of attraction argues that positive thoughts and actions reap positive rewards and vice versa for negative ones.
From the ages of 19-28 I naturally became so good at learning how to receive that I was a constant attraction to positive energies. Positive thoughts carried me into meeting the right people for the seasons I needed to grow more. The opportunity being opened really helped me keep my hope alive of a better future. It allowed me to attract more positive experiences by simply saying yes without my fears. Never once did I take the negative ( being homeless ) and carry into my present. When you sustain a positive and affirming outlook with receiving the universe will create space for you to evolve. I am utterly grateful of all of the opportunities life has offered me and all because I never stopped doors from opening. Whether good doors or bad doors.
So the next time you struggle to receive think about the possibilities it could lead you to. Whether it helps the person you are receiving from conquer a fear or it guides you into something bigger than you could have ever expected. The experience of emotions and exchange of energies with that particular person is what you should be enjoying the most.
Say yes, to the next opportunity being opened.
